Rum Butter

Three local Scottish Businesses team up collaboratively to produce a delicious Rum Butter for Christmas Mince Pies.

Legend has it this delicious compound butter came into being when smugglers with barrels of butter, sugar and rum when stranded in caves on the Cumbrian coast.  Just glorious with Mince Pies!

 

Ingredients

Equal quantities of the best lightly salted butter you can get and soft brown sugar.

A biggest glug of your favourite rum you dare to add!   

Method

Simply beat the butter and sugar together until creamy and then mix in your rum.  Dollop generously on top of your mince pies!
